เมื่อวันที่ 13 มี.ค. กรมอุตุนิยมวิทยา ได้ออกเผยแพร่ประกาศกรมอุตุนิยมวิทยา เรื่อง พายุฤดูร้อนบริเวณประเทศไทยตอนบน ฉบับที่ 7 (77/2566) มีผลกระทบในช่วงวันที่ 13-14 มี.ค. 66 โดยระบุว่า ในช่วงวันที่ 13-14 มีนาคม 2566 บริเวณความกดอากาศสูงหรือมวลอากาศเย็นกำลังปานกลางจากประเทศจีนแผ่ลงมาปกคลุมประเทศไทยตอนบนและทะเลจีนใต้ ประกอบกับคลื่นกระแสลมฝ่ายตะวันตกจะเคลื่อนเข้าปกคลุมภาคเหนือ ในขณะที่ประเทศไทยมีอากาศร้อน
ลักษณะเช่นนี้จะทำให้ภาคเหนือ ภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ ภาคกลางรวมทั้งกรุงเทพมหานครและปริมณฑล และภาคตะวันออกมีพายุฤดูร้อนเกิดขึ้น โดยมีลักษณะของพายุฝนฟ้าคะนอง ลมกระโชกแรง และมีลูกเห็บตกบางพื้นที่ รวมถึงอาจมีฟ้าผ่าเกิดขึ้นได้
จึงขอให้ประชาชนในบริเวณดังกล่าวระวังอันตรายจากพายุฤดูร้อนที่อาจจะเกิดขึ้น โดยหลีกเลี่ยงการอยู่ในที่โล่งแจ้ง ใต้ต้นไม้ใหญ่ สิ่งปลูกสร้างและป้ายโฆษณาที่ไม่แข็งแรง สำหรับเกษตรกรควรเตรียมการป้องกันและระวังความเสียหายที่จะเกิดต่อผลผลิตทางการเกษตรไว้ด้วย

ภาคเหนือ : จังหวัดแม่ฮ่องสอน เชียงใหม่ เชียงราย ลำพูน ลำปาง พะเยา น่าน แพร่ อุตรดิตถ์ ตาก สุโขทัย กำแพงเพชร พิจิตร พิษณุโลก และเพชรบูรณ์
ภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ : จังหวัดเลย และหนองคาย
ภาคกลาง : จังหวัดกาญจนบุรี สุพรรณบุรี พระนครศรีอยุธยา ราชบุรี นครปฐม สมุทรสาคร และสมุทรสงคราม รวมทั้งกรุงเทพมหานครและปริมณฑล
ภาคตะวันออก : จังหวัดฉะเชิงเทรา ชลบุรี ระยอง จันทบุรี และตราด
